Lois Ann Crowley, Peoria, IL Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Family Member

Lois Ann Crowley, Peoria, IL—Lois Ann Crowley passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2024, at her home, leaving behind her family and loved ones. She was seventy-five years old. Lois was known for her deep faith and generous spirit, often turning to prayer for herself and others. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her two surviving sisters, Mary Lou Syverson and Karen Wussow.

Lois spent her life caring for others, whether through her work as a nurse’s aide or through the beautiful baby Afghans she crocheted for new souls coming into the world. Her love for her family and her pets was a central part of her life, and her warm personality touched many people. Lois’s family now faces the financial burden of funeral expenses, and her niece, Teri Syverson, has organized a fundraiser to help cover these costs. No donations have been received yet, but Teri is hopeful for support from those who knew and loved Lois.

Lois Ann Crowley was welcomed into heaven by her late husband, Bernard “Butch” Crowley, and her parents, Harry and Juanita Hanson, as well as her brothers, Terrance, Richard, and Jerry Hanson. Her friends and family, including her lifelong friend Crystal Dahlstrom, will honor her life with a celebration on October 12, 2024, in Black River Falls.
