Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Cater and Verna Williams, as well as her siblings and daughter, Shirley Marie Noble. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Otis Young, with whom she shared nearly 40 years of marriage, along with her children Sheldon Kay Smith, Sheila Faye Fisher, Buddy Brown, Sandy Gaskins, Steven Young, and Scott Young. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to a memorial fund to assist with medical and funeral expenses. Sandy Gaskins, Lois’ daughter, has organized a fundraiser to honor her mother’s memory, with a goal of raising $6,000 to cover expenses.
The family will receive visitors at Jones Funeral Home on November 20, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to offer condolences and share memories.
