Loren Goodman, Killeen, TX— Loren Goodman passed away on November 20th, 2024, in her home in Killeen, Texas. Loren was a beloved mother, sister, and daughter who fought with extraordinary strength for 17 years against the challenges of Transverse Myelitis. Despite being diagnosed at a young age, Loren remained a dedicated mother to her two sons, Myles and Lorenzo, providing them with love and care through the years with the support of her family.
Before her illness, Loren worked two jobs while pursuing her associate’s degree at Central Texas College and served as a full-time pianist for her parents’ ministry. Her illness left her paralyzed from the neck down, but it never dampened her spirit. Loren continued to smile, encourage those around her, and kept her faith strong through every challenge, including multiple hospitalizations and constant care needs.
Loren’s family, including her mother who helped raise her sons, now faces the difficult task of laying her to rest. Loren’s health complications prevented her from obtaining life insurance, and the family is raising funds to cover the funeral expenses. The VA will only cover the burial portion, leaving the family in need of assistance to provide a proper service.
A fundraiser has been established by Loren’s sister, Jaime Kimbrough, to help with these costs. So far, a generous donation of $200 has been made. The family is deeply grateful for any support during this difficult time.
Loren’s legacy of resilience, generosity, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Our deepest condolences go out to Loren’s family, and we pray for peace and comfort for her loved ones as they mourn her passing.
