Lory Roberts, League City, TX—The community is rallying together in support of Lory Roberts, who recently faced a severe medical crisis. Lory, known affectionately as "LOLO," was admitted to the hospital on August 6th, 2024, after experiencing a sudden and serious brain hemorrhage. Following her admission, she suffered a stroke on August 9th, which has left her with significant health challenges, including blindness in the right side of each eye and memory loss.
Lory has been receiving intensive care at Memorial Hermann in the Houston Medical District, where she continues to fight bravely through these setbacks. Despite the excellent care she is receiving, Lory’s journey to recovery will be long, and she will need to take considerable time off from her job at Jill’s, a local prom and bridal dress shop in League City. Her condition has also left her unable to drive, necessitating ongoing physical and occupational therapy.
Adding to the family’s burden, Lory’s husband, Terry, has been between two jobs, leaving the family without active health insurance during this critical time. As a result, Lory’s medical expenses, including her hospital stay and necessary procedures, will need to be covered out-of-pocket.
In response to this situation, Lory’s daughter, Madison Roberts, has organized a fundraiser to help cover some of the mounting medical bills. The fundraiser has already garnered $2,075 of the $15,000 goal through the generous contributions of 28 donors. Isabel Ketterer made the top donation of $250, while Molly Baker’s contribution of $20 was the first donation received. The family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and the community.
