Lotus M Wade Lee, El Cajon, CA— Lotus M Wade Lee, a cherished member of the El Cajon community, has passed away, leaving her family and friends in mourning. Born on September 18, 1950, Lotus lived a full and happy life before succumbing to terminal lung cancer on July 31, 2024.
Lotus was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family remembers her fondly for her obsession with tigers, which influenced her decorations, clothing, and jewelry. Known for her love of Seagrams seven and seven, with a diet 7-Up, she could often be found in OB at a bar, enjoying her favorite drink. Her affection for pistachio ice cream and her habit of spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are cherished memories that her family will hold onto.
Lotus worked for many years and retired from a position at a bank. She introduced her family to Chinese traditions and culture, a legacy that will continue through the tradition of giving Chinese envelopes. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has reunited with her father and son, Timmy, at the gates of heaven.
Surviving her are her mother, brothers Victor, Raymon, Kenny, and Vincent, daughter Christine, grandsons Cody and Justin, and great-grandchildren Cash, Ryan, and Ashley. Cody Church has organized a fundraiser to support the family during this difficult time, and the community’s generosity has already begun to show, with $75 raised out of a $5,000 goal. Donations from Mario Dickson Lopez, Jordan Lippman, and Trevor Casillas reflect the love and support for Lotus and her family.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Lotus M Wade Lee. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this challenging time.
