Louise E. Wilder, White Plains, MD—The community is in deep mourning following the tragic death of Louise E. Wilder. Louise, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away in a fatal multi-vehicle collision in Prince George’s County on July 26, 2024. She was seventy-seven years old.
Louise’s death has left a significant void in the lives of her two daughters, Shelley and Tammie, her son, Lloyd, her sister, Gloria, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a cherished member of her family and a friend to many, known for her warmth and kindness.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:15 pm at the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Fort Washington Road. Louise was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of two other vehicles involved were hospitalized with serious injuries, while the driver of a fourth vehicle was uninjured. The Prince George’s County Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
In honor of Louise’s memory, her children have organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Please Donate to Louise Wilder’s Memorial Service," aims to raise $15,000. As of now, $100 has been donated by Merle Walker.
