Luc St-Jean, a former police sergeant from Montreal, has passed away in Bangkok. He was found in his apartment, having passed away three days prior. Luc was deeply loved by his daughter, Kelly-Anne Lemieux, who shared the heart-wrenching news. He was a man known for his generosity, humor, and kindness.
Kelly-Anne, who is 25 years old, described her father as her best friend and a person who could brighten anyone’s day. Luc had a deep love for Thailand, having spent five months there last year, and had returned earlier this year to continue exploring the country he had grown fond of. However, Luc suffered a severe cardiac arrest a few months ago, which left him hospitalized. After spending time recovering, he appeared to have regained his health and vitality, and Kelly-Anne was able to spend two joyful weeks with him before returning to Quebec.
Tragically, just three days ago, the police arrived at Kelly-Anne’s door to inform her of her father’s death. Luc was found alone in his apartment, which has left Kelly-Anne heartbroken, filled with the hope that he did not suffer. She remembers him as a man with a big heart, beloved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Kelly-Anne has started a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her father’s funeral and to make arrangements to bring his belongings back from Thailand. The fundraiser has so far raised $1,285 CAD out of the $6,500 CAD goal, with donations coming from ten generous contributors. The largest donation of $400 was made by Amn Hdj.
Luc St-Jean’s passing is a significant loss to his family and the Montreal community. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Our deepest condolences go out to Kelly-Anne and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this painful loss.
