Luca Karwath, Ditzingen, Baden-Württemberg—Luca Karwath passed away on August 29, 2024, after a long and arduous battle with cystic fibrosis, a genetic metabolic disorder. Luca was just 23 years old, and his passing has left a significant void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Luca was a beloved son, grandson, and brother who fought courageously throughout his life. Despite the numerous hospital stays and intense therapies, he never gave up hope. However, the relentless nature of his illness ultimately took its toll.
The prolonged illness not only took a heavy emotional toll on Luca’s family but also left them financially strained. In response, a fundraiser has been organized by David Mencel to help the family afford the funeral Luca deserves. As of now, €1,005 has been raised out of a €3,500 goal, with donations from 33 kind supporters. The highest donation so far has been €150 from Marc Sterenborg.
