Luis Alamo, lovingly known as "Papiro," has passed away, leaving the community in deep sorrow. He departed on September 16, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, after a life marked by kindness, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Luis was a pillar of strength, offering support, wisdom, and guidance to everyone around him. He dedicated his life to providing for his family, working tirelessly to ensure they had the best opportunities while instilling in them the values of love, respect, and hard work.
His daughter, Luan Alamo, organized a fundraiser in his memory, sharing heartfelt words about her father: "My father was a man of silent strength, always offering a helping hand, staying up late to help with school projects, or simply being there when I needed someone to lean on. His presence was a constant source of comfort and security in my life. He wasn’t just my father; he was my hero, my mentor, and my greatest support."
The fundraiser has raised $1,190 out of a $12,000 goal, with donations from 19 people. Jose Vazquez made the top donation of $200, Ileana Hernandez contributed $75, and Ana Figueroa was the first to donate $100.
Friends and family have shared their condolences and memories on social media. Patty Dukez and Nicc Gloww were among those who expressed their gratitude and sadness.
Luis Alamo is survived by his wife Ketsy and his children Dayna, Lizma, Luis, Luan, Keila, Aaron, and Javi, as well as his beloved stepchildren, whom he cherished as his own. His family will forever remember his laughter, patience, and the way he made everything seem better just by being there.
The community is deeply saddened by Luis’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
