Margaret Renteria, Bryan, TX—With profound sadness, the community mourns the passing of Margaret Renteria, who left us far too soon on August 10, 2024. Margaret was born on November 1, 1983, and was a beacon of joy and kindness to all who knew her. She passed away after suffering a series of heart attacks, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who loved her.
Margaret, aged 40, was a devoted partner to her common-law spouse of fifteen years, Esteban Gonzalez, and a loving mother to their four daughters: Susana, 22, Maria "Gigi," 13, Alondra, 12, and Denise, 10. Her dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and her absence will be deeply felt by her loved ones.
In addition to her immediate family, Margaret is survived by her parents, Mary and Manuel Renteria; her grandmother, Simona Gebara; her brother, Juan; her sisters, Leticia Rojas and Mida Barron; and numerous relatives who cherished her dearly. Her friends remember her as a simple, happy, and loyal companion whose presence brought light into their lives.
A fundraiser has been organized by Richard From Delta to assist with Margaret’s medical expenses and funeral arrangements. The community has begun to rally in support, with $200 raised out of the $10,000 goal. Donations have come from kind contributors, including Phillip Cerda and Jennifer Mower, who each donated $100.
Esteban Gonzalez, who remained by Margaret’s side throughout her time in the ICU, now faces the daunting task of preparing their daughters for the upcoming school year while grieving the loss of his beloved partner. The family is grateful for any support during this challenging time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Renteria family during this difficult period. May Margaret’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
