Mary Ann Shultz, California, MD— Mary Ann Shultz passed away unexpectedly on December 17th at 11:43 PM, leaving the community and her family in deep sorrow. Mary had been feeling unwell with a cold earlier that day but had been resting at home. After briefly stepping outside, she returned to her room to begin her breathing treatment. It was during this time that her condition worsened, and she lost consciousness.
Her son and daughter-in-law found her and immediately attempted CPR while calling 911. The paramedics arrived shortly after and continued CPR efforts, eventually using an AED. After 45 minutes, they were able to regain a pulse, and Mary was transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately, her condition remained critical, and despite intensive efforts by the medical team, including treatment for a massive heart attack caused by a blood clot, she passed away after nearly three hours of attempts to save her life.
Mary Ann Shultz was born on August 7, 1961. She is survived by her son Herdrick (Bubba) Shultz, her daughter Maraha Martin, and grandchildren Malik Johnson, April Holland, Gracie Henderson, Tyrone Ross Jr, Kevin Roiser Jr, and Travis Thomas. She also leaves behind her great-grandson Bryson Henderson. Mary has joined her late daughter, Mindy Johnson, in death.
A fundraiser has been organized by Lora Alvey to help with funeral expenses. Any support is appreciated during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Shultz family, and we extend our deepest condolences for their loss.
