Her dedication extended to her role as a foster parent for 18 years, fostering over 70 children and providing them with a nurturing and loving home.
Her faith and compassion were further reflected in her involvement with Christ Episcopal Church in Geneva, where she was a devoted member. She shared her strength and resilience with everyone who had the honor of knowing her, creating a lasting impact on her community.
A fundraiser organized by Patricia Jones, titled “Celebrating Mary: A Legacy of Love and Strength,” has been created to honor her memory. So far, $230 has been raised out of the $10,000 goal. The donations will support funeral and memorial expenses, allowing family and friends to come together to celebrate Mary’s life.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home in Eastlake to pay their respects. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. to honor her life and the lasting impact she had on everyone she encountered.
