She was a participant in the S.T.E.M. program through James Madison University and had dreams of becoming a Pediatric Oncologist. Her dedication to her education was mirrored by her involvement in various school programs, including ROTC and HOSA, and she actively attended Blue Ridge Community College while still in high school.
Alongside her academic achievements, Maryana was known for her compassionate nature, commitment to her work, and love for basketball. Over the years, she worked at multiple local businesses, including Dairy Queen, Home Depot, Starbucks, Burlington, Dunkin, and most recently, Auntie Anne’s.
