Masako Chellew— Masako Chellew has passed away, leaving behind a grieving family and community. She was a beloved wife, mother, and stepmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Masako passed away on August 10th at 09:15, surrounded by her loved ones at home. Her husband, Bernard, and her daughter, Yoshiko, were by her side during her final moments.

He wrote, "At 9.15 this morning, my step mum passed away after a (thankfully) brief battle with cancer. In the 45 years my dad and step mum were married, it was clear they were made for each other. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, her 3 stepchildren, and her daughter Yoshiko. R.I.P. Masako, you will never be forgotten."

The news of her passing has prompted an outpouring of support on social media. Ryan Thompson, a family friend, expressed his condolences, saying, "So sorry for your loss, pal." Jeannine Chellew also shared her sympathy, commenting, "Lovely words, John." Other friends and family members, including Carrie Salter, Fintan Gavin, and Maureen Grady, offered their thoughts and prayers, remembering Masako as a "lovely lady."

In honor of Masako’s memory, a fundraiser has been organized by Yamamoto Elliot, a pastor who was close to her. The funds raised will help her family visit Japan, fulfilling Masako’s final wish to reconnect with her homeland. So far, £460 has been raised out of the £2,000 goal. Donations have come from several generous individuals, including £210 from an anonymous donor and £50 from Keiko Shaw.
