Melahna had been bravely battling multiple sclerosis since June 1999. Over the past four years, her condition worsened, but she continued to fight with the support of her dedicated home care team and her loving family. Two weeks ago, she was admitted to the Misercordia, where she spent her final days in the company of those who loved her most.
Her family, including her husband Wes, and children Kalahya and Carter, are now faced with the difficult task of saying goodbye. To support them during this challenging time, a fundraiser has been organized by Connie Sidor to help cover funeral costs and provide some relief for the time lost from work. The fundraiser has already raised $2,175 CAD, surpassing its initial goal of $2,000, thanks to the generous contributions of friends and family.

Melahna’s viewing will take place at the Autumn Rose Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 28th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, giving family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects. The funeral service will be held at Kysylew Church by Andrew on Thursday, August 29th at 10:30 am, with all family and friends welcome to attend.
