His passing left a profound impact on all who knew him, and in the aftermath, his friends gathered to honor his memory by placing a memorial bench at the site of the accident in Old Windsor. This bench has served as a lasting tribute, providing comfort and a place of connection for those who visit.

However, after many years of weather and wear, the bench now requires renewal. To continue honoring Michael’s memory, Dave Castles has organized a fundraiser with a goal of £1,400. The renewal of the bench will ensure that his legacy lives on for another 25 years, offering a space where friends and visitors can remember the special person Michael was.

The fundraiser aims to gather contributions, no matter the size, to cover the cost of the bench. Any funds raised beyond the goal will be donated to Brake, the Road Safety Charity, which provides crucial emotional and practical support to families dealing with the trauma of road-related incidents.
