Michael Louismet Jr., White Bear Lake, MN—The community of White Bear Lake is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Michael Louismet Jr., who left us on August 12, 2024, just two days after celebrating his 47th birthday. Michael, fondly known as Mike, was a cherished husband, father, and friend, whose enthusiasm for life and love for his family touched everyone he met.
Born and raised in White Bear Lake, Mike was a standout in every aspect of his life. He was a star athlete, excelling in football, baseball, and wrestling. His love for fitness was well known, and he could often be found at the gym, pushing himself and others to be their best. Whether it was kettle bell training with his Uncle Dave or joking around with his "duct tape buddy" Brock, Mike’s energy was infectious.
Mike also had a deep affection for old movies, often rewatching and quoting his favorites. His passion for films made everyone around him see the magic in them, just as he did.
Tragically, Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Lee Jackson; his father, Michael James Louismet; and his brothers, Nathan Louismet and Louis Munoz. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Karla, and their children—Travis, Evelyn, Anthony, Noah, Adeline, and Mikey III—who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sisters Mindy, Joslyn, Callie, and Sarah Louismet, along with numerous other family members who loved him dearly.
In the wake of Mike’s passing, his wife Karla and their children are facing unexpected funeral costs and the loss of Mike’s income. A fundraiser organized by Sheila Cintron-Ricci has been set up to help the family through this difficult time. As of today, $450 has been raised toward the $20,000 goal, with contributions from Vong Hoang and an anonymous donor.
The community has shown an outpouring of support on social media. Sheila Cintron-Ricci, sharing her thoughts on Facebook, expressed her deep sorrow at the sudden loss of Mike, describing him as a "true hometown hero" and urging others to contribute to the fundraiser to support his family.
Mike’s love for family, friends, and fitness, along with his boundless enthusiasm for life, will be remembered by all who knew him. Though he has left a significant void in the lives of those he touched, his legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Michael Louismet Jr.’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Karla, their children, and the entire Louismet family during this challenging time.
