Mike’s legacy lives on through his two daughters, Nevaeh and Thalia Smith, for whom the family has launched a fundraiser to ensure their futures are supported. The campaign, organized by his brother Theodore Herman, is aimed at providing savings for the daughters’ education and other future needs. A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM (CST) at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bellevue, NE. The family has opted for a service without visitation or burial ceremony.
