Michael Shipley, Scottsville, KY— Michael Shipley passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Eve at the age of 52, leaving behind a grieving family and a devastated community. His death, which occurred suddenly and without warning, has left his loved ones in profound sorrow.
According to his mother, Bonita Allen, Michael passed away in her arms and the arms of his wife, Kimberly Shipley, after suddenly collapsing while discussing his Jeep. He suffered a massive heart attack, dying within minutes. Michael was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard and worked diligently for 101 Mobility, helping veterans by installing ramps, chair lifts, and repairing wheelchairs across the Kentucky/Tennessee area. His passion for his job and the people he helped was evident to all who knew him.
Michael was the sole provider for his wife, Kimberly, and their 8-year-old son, Kaleb. His sudden passing has left his family facing overwhelming emotional and financial challenges. Michael did not have life insurance, and the unexpected funeral costs have placed an additional burden on his grieving family.
To assist with funeral expenses and to help his family through this difficult time, a fundraiser has been set up with a goal of raising $20,000. As of today, the family is seeking donations to cover funeral, burial, and living expenses for the next three months.
The community has rallied around Michael’s family, with friends and supporters expressing their condolences and offering their assistance. Michael’s memory and the love he shared with those around him will continue to be cherished by all who knew him.
We are deeply saddened by Michael Shipley’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of loss.
