Michella "Sheli" Lee Ferguson, Fremont, OH—Michella Sheli Lee Ferguson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and U.S. Navy veteran, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Northwest Hospice. Sheli had been enduring significant health challenges since May, with multiple hospital visits and a final diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had tragically spread throughout her abdomen.
Known for her unwavering support, wisdom, and love, Sheli was the cornerstone of her family, always there to offer guidance and care when it was needed the most. Her passing has left a profound void in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Sheli was an active participant in the Fremont VEW and The Eagles of Fremont. She was a regular attendee at the Fremont Speedway races and enjoyed spending her free time crocheting and being with family and friends.
Given the unexpected nature of her passing and the lack of life insurance, Sheli’s family has set up a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses and to plan a future celebration of life. Organized by Christa Winklea, the fundraiser has set a goal of $5,000, with contributions deeply appreciated to help honor Sheli’s memory.
The community is invited to contribute and support the family during this difficult time. As of now, no visitation or service is planned, but arrangements for a celebration of life will be made at a later date.
We extend our deepest condolences to Michella "Sheli" Lee Ferguson’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.
