Mike Schaffer, Glendora, CA—The Glendora community is mourning the loss of Mike Schaffer, who passed away on August 21st due to health complications. Mike was the cherished husband of Myriam Schaffer, to whom he was married for 49 years. Together, they have two adult children, Elizabeth and Steven.
Mike’s passing has deeply affected his wife, Myriam, a beloved teacher and friend at Foothill Christian Preschool, where she has dedicated over 20 years of service. Known for her kindness and dedication, Myriam has touched the lives of many students and their families throughout her career.
In support of Myriam during this challenging time, a fundraiser has been organized by Martha Perez, a close friend, to help cover the expenses related to Mike’s Celebration of Life and any other financial hardships the Schaffer family may encounter. The fundraiser, which began on August 26th, 2024, has so far raised $330 of its $6,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of six donors, including Laura Viridiana Wild, Christi Navarrette, and Nora Guerra.
