Mike Tiberg, Traverse City, MI— Mike Tiberg has passed away, leaving a significant void in the lives of many who knew him. Mike dedicated over 45 years to the field of pharmacy, with 25 of those years serving at Munson Medical Center. His contributions to the pharmacy profession, his patients, students, and colleagues were invaluable and will be remembered with great respect.
In his honor, a memorial garden is being established at Munson Medical Center. This garden will include a memorial plaque, two benches, and locally sourced lakeshore rock from Old Mission Peninsula. It will be situated outside the basement pharmacy, between the main lobby and the emergency department, providing a lasting tribute to his legacy.
A fundraiser has been organized by Nicholas Torney to support the creation of this garden, with a goal of raising $4,000. So far, $170 has been contributed, thanks to donations from Cole Orlikowski, an anonymous donor, and Christopher Layne. Any surplus funds will be directed to the Michigan ALS Foundation.
Mike Tiberg’s life was marked by his kindness, intelligence, and charisma. He was widely respected and admired, and his impact on the lives of others will be cherished.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike Tiberg’s family during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
