Her son, Anthony "Junior" Pottinger, had been tirelessly caring for her in Montreal, where she was in the palliative care unit, battling advanced metastatic cancer. Junior made numerous trips between Vancouver and Montreal to be by his mother’s side, managing her treatments and offering support.
Tragically, while Junior was briefly in Vancouver for business, Adella’s condition deteriorated rapidly. The family was informed that she had only a few days to live. Despite their efforts to be with her, she passed away shortly after.
Maxine Burrell has organized a fundraiser to help Junior and his family with the funeral expenses, flight costs, and related expenses to honor Adella’s wish to be laid to rest in Montreal. The goal of the fundraiser is $5,000, and any contributions will greatly assist the family during this challenging time.
