Mohammad Irshad Jan, Attleboro, MA— The community is coming together in the wake of the heartbreaking news of Mohammad Irshad Jan’s passing. Known fondly as "Uncle Irshad," he was a figure of strength and kindness who touched many lives. He had been battling health issues since 2011, and his family had been supporting him throughout his long fight. Recently, his condition worsened, and he was placed in hospice care during the week of September 23, 2024, where his vitals rapidly declined.
Mohammad Irshad Jan leaves behind his beloved wife, Ayesha Irshad Jan, along with his cherished children, Mariam Jan and Burhaan Jan. His daughter, Mariam, had been his primary caregiver and financial support as his health deteriorated over the years. The loss has left the family devastated, as they now face the overwhelming task of making funeral arrangements and handling the financial burden of medical bills and related expenses.
In light of these challenges, Bisma Siddiqui, a family friend, has organized a fundraiser to support the family during this difficult time. Generous donors, including Shaheen Wazifdar ($500), an anonymous contributor ($20), and Confetti by Bisma ($200), have already shown their support, but the need remains great. All contributions will go toward funeral expenses, transportation, and outstanding medical costs.
Funeral details will be shared as they become available. The outpouring of love and support from the community has been deeply appreciated by the Jan family. They are immensely grateful for the kindness and generosity extended to them during this heartbreaking time.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Jan family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ayesha, Mariam, Burhaan, and all those who loved Mohammad Irshad Jan. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find strength and solace.
