Ned Brake, Owensville, MO— The Owensville community is mourning the passing of Ned Brake, who passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the age of 65. Ned had been battling several illnesses, including pneumonia and MRSA in his bloodstream. Just days prior, on September 9, he was sitting up in his hospital chair, smiling and interacting with family. Unfortunately, his condition took a turn, and after a difficult night, Ned passed peacefully at 9:34 am on September 13.

Ned’s daughter, Melissa Arvin, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of his funeral. Although Ned had life insurance, it was not enough to cover the full expenses, leaving his family in need of financial assistance to manage the remaining costs. Melissa is asking for support from the community to help her mother with the funeral bill.

The GoFundMe campaign currently has a goal of $2,000, but no contributions have been made as of yet. The family is hoping for any help, and Melissa has expressed her deep appreciation for any support during this challenging time.
