Ninida "Nida" Saad Daus Parayno, La Palma, CA—It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ninida "Nida" Saad Daus Parayno on August 23, 2024. Nida, aged 69, was a vibrant presence known for her love of dancing and her impeccable fashion sense.
Throughout her life, Nida’s love for dance and style was evident. In her youth, she embraced the disco era, frequently dazzling those around her with mini skirts and sky-high platform heels. Her passion for dance never waned, and she continued to light up family gatherings with her stylish outfits, often featuring her favorite color, purple, and her signature big hair adorned with headbands. Nida’s charm and generosity were well-known, making every holiday and celebration special with thoughtful gifts and her beautifully crafted gift baskets.
Nida’s family was the center of her world. She took great pride in her son Christopher, his wife Jeanell, and her cherished grandchildren, Rowan Matthew and Rylo Jai. After retiring from Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Nida spent her days surrounded by her grandchildren, sharing laughter, joy, and memories.
Nida passed away peacefully at her home, joining her late parents Cornelius Daus Sr. and Marcelina Saad Daus, her brother Robert Daus, and her beloved nieces, Maricel Sudaria Daus and Karen Daus Capalaran. She leaves behind her son Christopher, daughter-in-law Jeanell, her grandchildren, her siblings, Virginia & Moreno, Jimmy & Nancy, Cornelius Jr. & Patricia, Vicfilamer & Eduardo, and Dyna, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and countless relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A fundraiser organized by Nicole Gragasin has been set up to help ease the family’s financial burden during this difficult time, with a goal of $10,000. The community is invited to support the Daus-Parayno family, as they honor Nida’s memory and celebrate her life.
Services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA 90630. A viewing will take place in the Cypress Room on September 19, 2024, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The mass and funeral will be held on September 20, 2024, at the Patriots Chapel, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
