Noreen East— The Fridhem Care Home community is mourning the loss of Noreen East, who passed away recently after a long and challenging battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Noreen had been a resident at Fridhem since September 2022, where she spent her final days being cared for with compassion and love.
During her time at the care home, Noreen often enjoyed various activities and entertainment provided for the residents. She was known for her love of painting, dancing, and live music. Her joyful spirit could often be seen during these activities, and she had a particular fondness for a cheeky Chinese takeaway, accompanied by her favorite sambuca nightcap.
In honor of Noreen’s memory, her family has organized a fundraiser, spearheaded by Rebecca East O Keeffe, to raise funds for Fridhem Care Home. The goal is to ensure that the activities Noreen cherished can continue for the benefit of other residents and their families. The fundraiser has set a target of £200, and as of today, £150 has been raised, thanks to donations from Francesca East-Christoforou (£50) and Sonia Armitage-Adams (£100).
