Olivia Faye Faria Stroud, Seattle, WA—The community is coming together to mourn the untimely passing of Olivia Faye Faria Stroud, lovingly known as Libby, whose life was tragically cut short on September 21, 2024. Olivia was just 29 years old, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, known for her passion for art and dedication to her two daughters, Effee and Doris.
Born to Timothy Raye Stroud and Lisa Marie Faria, Olivia was the youngest of her siblings, Ana, Timmy, and Yuvia. Her love for creativity and people took her from her hometown of Yakima, WA, to Seattle, where she quickly found her calling in the art and culinary worlds. Olivia first worked at U-Frame It, where she channeled her artistic talents into framing art and family keepsakes. This work ignited her passion for the arts, leading her to host art shows and aspire to open her own gallery.
Olivia’s passion didn’t stop there. She immersed herself in the culinary arts, working her way through challenging environments to eventually cook for high-profile guests at venues like CenturyLink Field and the Hilton. Her work touched the lives of many in Seattle, serving everyone from local children during the pandemic to VIPs, including the Seattle Seahawks and the National Guard.
Her dream was to create a wonderful life for her daughters, Effee (4) and Doris (2), ensuring they would always have what they needed. Although her life was far too short, Olivia achieved so much and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her family and friends are now seeking to give her the proper farewell she deserves.
A fundraiser organized by her father, Timothy Faria Stroud, has been set up to help with the costs of her celebration of life. Donations will go toward creating special jewelry from Olivia’s ashes for her daughters, and the excess will be dedicated to ensuring Effee and Doris have the bright future their mother always envisioned for them.
In this difficult time, the community has already begun to show its support, with early donations from people like Angel Brock, Gayle Rivas, Heather Roebuck, and Jaime Alonso helping to ease the family’s burden.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Olivia Faye Faria Stroud. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughters, as they navigate this heartbreaking moment. May they find comfort in the love and memories she leaves behind.
