Paul was known as a caring and selfless individual, always willing to help others. His niece, Heather Hicks, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the unexpected costs of his funeral.
Paul was diagnosed with lung cancer last December, and shortly after, he received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 brain cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments, his condition did not improve, and he spent much of the year in and out of the hospital. Just days before his passing, Paul was brought home from the hospital, only to be found unresponsive early on Friday morning. After being rushed back to the hospital and placed on life support, his family made the heart-wrenching decision to let him go on Saturday.
Heather Hicks shared that her Uncle Paul was the kind of person who would go to great lengths for anyone in need. The family is now working to ensure that Paul receives the funeral he deserves, and they are grateful for any support, whether financial or through sharing the fundraiser.
