Paul Karl Hoiland—It is with deep sadness that the family of Paul Karl Hoiland shares the news of his unexpected passing. A trucker with a passion for the open road, Paul passed away in Colorado while on the job, leaving his family grieving and seeking help to bring him back home to Texas.
His daughter, Stephanie Hoiland, has set up a fundraiser to help cover the costs of cremation and transport, a total of $2,281.00. As of now, donations have started coming in, including a heartfelt contribution of $40 from Brittany Flores.
Stephanie shared her heart on Facebook, saying, “We all just don’t have the funds right now to afford everything. I’m creating this fundraiser to raise the amount we need to bring our daddy home. Anything helps even a share would help. We need him home, and thank you to everyone in advance.”
Paul, a veteran of the Air Force, lived a life full of adventure. Known to his trucker friends as "TRR," or Texas Road Runner, he loved the freedom of trucking, fishing, and was an avid Star Trek fan. A man of many talents, he was also an author, with several books available on Amazon. He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Kelley Hoiland, five children, 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The love and support from friends and family continue to pour in. One such message from Stephanie Salinas-Orr reads, “My dad passed and he didn’t pass here. He passed in Colorado and we are trying to get him home.” These words reflect the deep loss felt by all who knew him.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Hoiland family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
