Pauline Tobbe, Oak Forest, IL— Pauline Tobbe has passed away, leaving her family and community in deep sorrow. Pauline’s health had been deteriorating rapidly after she was diagnosed with throat cancer in October 2024. The diagnosis was followed by a challenging and aggressive treatment regimen that included radiation therapy, a feeding tube, and round-the-clock care. Unfortunately, the cancer advanced to stage 4, spreading to her brain, and Pauline was also diagnosed with chronic liver disease.
Her husband, David Tobbe, who has been by her side throughout this difficult journey, faced additional challenges. In November, David was involved in a serious car accident while on the job, sustaining multiple injuries, including fractures to his pelvis. As a result, he is now out of work and in need of home therapy.
The Tobbe family, deeply affected by these burdens, has set up a fundraising campaign to assist with medical expenses, treatments, and other financial needs. The fundraiser, initiated by Karen Tobbe, aims to raise $5,000 to help the family through this challenging time.
The community has rallied to show their support for David and Pauline during these trying days. Their strength and resilience have inspired those around them, with many offering heartfelt messages and donations.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Tobbe family during this incredibly difficult period. May they find comfort and strength in the love and support surrounding them.
