Philip Michael Howard, Watertown, NY— Philip Michael Howard, 58, of Central Street, passed away on Thursday evening, December 5, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center. His death has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Philip was born on May 4, 1966, in Long Island, NY, and was the son of Roscoe and Dolly (Jones) Howard. He grew up to become a well-known laborer in Watertown, where he worked for many years. A passionate San Francisco 49ers fan, Philip also had a love for football, having played for Red & Black Football in Watertown for several years. He was known for his lively spirit, often found singing, rapping, dancing, and entertaining his friends and family. He played in various bands throughout his life, always bringing joy and energy to those around him.
Philip’s legacy lives on through his children—Dominique (Chrystal) Gagne, Elijah (Jecinda) Howard, Tyler Larmon, Damian Howard, and Jordan Howard—and his many grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Betty McCall and Jonathon Howard, both of North Carolina, and his best friend of 40 years, Henri “Drey” Ramsey of Watertown.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, with calling hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM.
