Rafael was known for his charismatic and loving nature, touching the lives of everyone he met. He was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother who leaves behind a grieving wife, four adult sons, and three grandchildren.
Born on September 17, 1972, in Guerrero, Mexico, Rafael immigrated to the United States at the age of 17, driven by the hope of building a better life. In 1990, in California, he met the love of his life, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. The couple eventually married, started their family, and moved to Colorado Springs, where they built a life together filled with love and joy.
Rafael always dreamed of returning to Guerrero to visit his family and reconnect with the land he left behind. His sudden passing has left this dream unfulfilled. In his memory, a fundraiser has been organized by Aime Limones on behalf of his wife, Maria Limones, to help fulfill Rafael’s final wish of returning to Guerrero, where a portion of his ashes will be spread. The fundraiser, created just yesterday, has so far raised $115 out of a $20,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of three early supporters.
