Raffie Lin James Jr., Fort Worth, TX—The community is heartbroken by the recent passing of Raffie Lin James Jr., fondly known as RJ or Boogie Boo. Raffie, who celebrated his 17th birthday just a few weeks ago, left us on July 29, 2024.
Raffie was a beloved son, brother, and friend, known for his vibrant personality and love for life. He is survived by his mother Angel Ever Reyes, his father Raffie Lin James, his three sisters Jaden Watson, Amaia James, and Layla Watson, and his four brothers Coby, Donald (Dino), Alexander James, and Yahya Tatu Watson. His extended family includes his bonus dad Lamar Watson, bonus moms Cheree Long and Debbie Jones, his girlfriend Skylar Hill, and his best friends Zay and Ethan.
Raffie was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends. He had a special bond with his grandparents Ismael Reyes, Guadalupe Reyes, Tracy James, and Linwood Seward. His aunts Mary Jane Garcia, Isabel Reyes, Nicole Reyes, Genna Williams, Rosalynn James, Rahshae James, Jasmin Watson, Bianca Watson, and Brandi Watson, and his uncles Ismael Reyes and Warren James, held a significant place in his heart.
Raffie had a passion for football and a deep love for school. He had ambitious plans to attend Texas Christian University (TCU) and join the US Navy. Excited for his senior year at Brock High School, Raffie was proud to be part of the class of 2025.
To support Raffie’s family during this difficult time, Jazman Reyes has organized a fundraiser on GoFundMe. The goal is to raise $10,000 to cover funeral expenses. Jazman expressed, "Please help my Aunt Angel Reyes pay for my baby cousin’s funeral expenses! Anything helps and god bless you."
