Ricky was tragically involved in a collision with an off-duty police officer on August 24, 2024, just half a block away from his home. The officer, who had a history of reckless driving, was driving aggressively and struck Ricky as he was turning into his neighborhood after finishing his workday. While the officer walked away with minor injuries, Ricky’s life was cut short at the young age of 28.
Ricky was widely recognized for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and the love he extended to his friends and family. He was a unique and creative individual who always chose to do the right thing, even when no one was watching. His passing has left his family and the community devastated, as they were not prepared for the high costs associated with funeral arrangements.
A fundraiser has been organized by Jonathan Loredo to help cover the expenses for Ricky’s funeral, aiming to give him the memorial he truly deserves. As of now, $100 has been raised out of the $15,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of two anonymous donors.
