Richard Dotson Sr, Shelbyville, KY— Richard Dotson Sr. passed away peacefully on November 30th, leaving his family, friends, and community in deep sorrow. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, Richard touched the lives of many with his willingness to help others. A handyman and jack of all trades, he was always ready to lend his time and skills to those in need.
Richard’s passion for life was evident in the way he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing the bass guitar, fishing, and dominating the pool table. He was also deeply involved in supporting others, often ministering and encouraging those he met, even while facing his own personal challenges.
His sudden passing has left his family with the unexpected burden of memorial service costs. In response, Richard’s son, Richard Dotson II, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the expenses for a Celebration of Life Memorial. The goal is to raise $4,222 to honor Richard’s memory.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Newcomer East Louisville Chapel on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 pm (EST), followed by the Memorial Service from 1:30 to 3:00 pm (EST). The service will also be available for live online viewing for those unable to attend in person.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dotson family during this challenging time. May Richard’s legacy of kindness and generosity continue to inspire all who knew him.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Richard Dotson Sr. and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
