Rick Allmon, a beloved member of the Ringgold, GA community, has passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer that began in 2021. Rick, who was known for his love of photography and his dedication to children, was deeply cherished by those who knew him. His passing has left many heartbroken, particularly his cousin, April Stevens, who recently reconnected with Rick in 2020. She recalls how Rick immediately made her feel like part of the family, a testament to his kind and welcoming nature.

In addition to his career as a child photographer, which he lost in 2020 due to the effects of COVID-19, Rick was known for his generous heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. He faced his diagnosis with incredible strength, teaching those around him the importance of perseverance, even during the toughest moments.

Now, as Rick’s family seeks to honor his final wishes, they have organized a fundraiser to give him the funeral he carefully planned for himself, down to the songs he wanted played. April Stevens is leading this effort, asking for donations to ensure Rick’s last requests are fulfilled. At present, the fundraiser has set a goal of $4,000, though no donations have been made yet.
