Robert Hill Ramirez, Victoria, TX—Robert “Hill” Ramirez passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was seventy-five years old. Known to his family and friends as a dedicated fisherman, Robert’s memory will be honored by the love he shared for fishing and his passion for cooking breakfast tacos and barbeque for his loved ones.

Having served during the Vietnam War and spent many years as a roofer and carpenter, Robert’s true joy in life was found by the water. He preferred to be remembered as a fisherman first, always eager to catch the next big one. His family and friends will remember him as a man of firm conviction, abiding by his wishes even after his passing.

Robert specifically requested no funeral services or formal gatherings, asking only for cremation and that his ashes be spread at his favorite fishing spot in Port O’Connor. His family is honoring these wishes and has organized a fundraiser to help cover the cremation costs and the arrangement of his final resting place. In lieu of traditional memorials, the family encourages everyone to honor Robert’s memory by sharing a meal with their loved ones or enjoying a peaceful fishing trip in his spirit.
