Rockford, IL—Robert Manuel “Mankie” Stacker, a cherished Rockford resident, departed this earthly life on October 24, 2024. Born in Chicago on October 24, 1992, Robert moved to Rockford with his family in 1994 and became an integral part of the community, known for his dedicated work as a mechanic at Rockford Mass Transit, where he served for four years.
Robert was a graduate of Auburn High School and a respected member of the Hebrew Israelites. He leaves behind his mother, Gloria Pittman, a son Robert J. Stacker, a daughter Casey Stacker, and an extended family including three brothers and nine sisters, each holding treasured memories of him. His father had preceded him in passing, adding to the family’s deep sorrow.
In support of his memorial, Marisa Falcon has initiated a fundraiser with a goal of $25,000 to aid the family during this time. Currently, they seek contributions to honor his memory, inviting the community to join in celebrating the life of a beloved father, brother, and friend.
A memorial service will be held at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc., located at 200 N. Johnston Ave, Rockford, on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon, with the service commencing at 1:00 p.m.
