Rolly Ann Dolores Leilani Kaalekahi Adams, Boonville, NY—It is with deep sorrow that the family and community mourn the unexpected passing of Rolly Ann Dolores Leilani Kaalekahi Adams, affectionately known as "KK." KK passed away on August 11, 2024, from an unexpected heart attack, with her husband, Michael Adams, by her side.
Born on the island of Molokai, Hawaii, KK was the daughter of Rolland and Loretta Kaalekahi. She was a proud member of her high school cheerleading squad and served in the U.S. Air Force. Later in life, she dedicated herself to the children at West Leyden/Boonville Elementary as a school secretary, where she was deeply loved for her kindness and support.
KK was a devoted wife, mother, and cherished member of the Boonville, NY, community. Her love for her Hawaiian heritage and her dream of establishing a family legacy in Molokai for her children and future grandchildren were central to her life.
The family, led by her husband Michael, is now working to fulfill KK’s wish of returning to Molokai for her final resting place. A fundraiser has been established to cover the significant expenses involved in this journey, including funeral services in both New York and Hawaii, transportation of remains, and legal services in Hawaii to establish a family trust.
Though the fundraiser has only just begun, the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and the broader community has been a great comfort to the family during this difficult time.
