Rudy J Brancel, Key West—The community is mourning the loss of Rudy J Brancel, who passed away peacefully in his home on August 3, 2024, with his son, Rudy, and wife, JoAnn, by his side. Rudy succumbed to complications from kidney and heart disease after battling multiple myeloma for several years.

Rudy’s life will be honored and his passing mourned in Key West on August 17th. This date holds additional significance, as it also marks the anniversary of the passing of Rudy’s daughter, Lauren, who died nine years ago on August 17, 2015.

A dear friend of Rudy recently described him as "a loving bear of a man."
