Sabas Jr, Anaheim, CA— Sabas Jr, affectionately known as Bebot, passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. His death has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Sabas was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021, a diagnosis that took everyone by surprise when it returned after a brief period of remission. Despite his illness, Sabas remained a fighter, continuing to work until the disease’s resurgence. He underwent chemotherapy, but tragically, early on the morning of December 6, he struggled to breathe, prompting his wife and a close friend to rush him to the emergency room. Sadly, he passed away shortly after.
To honor his wishes, Sabas will be cremated, and his ashes will be taken to the Philippines, where he will be reunited with his deceased parents and siblings. Due to the timing of his passing, arrangements for his cremation and transportation have been delayed, as the family navigates the challenges of the holiday season.
In response to the financial strain caused by these arrangements, Sabas’s daughter, Tiffany Grace, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of the cremation, mortuary fees, and transportation back to the Philippines. The fundraiser has raised $325 so far, with generous contributions from Wanda Huynh, Shaktti Rodriguez, Lauren Salazar, and Kylie Hernandez.
Sabas Jr’s passing has left his family in grief, but the love and support they’ve received from the community offer some solace during this difficult time. His memory will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sabas Jr’s family as they navigate this profound loss.
