Agawam, MA—The community is heartbroken as they mourn the loss of Sandy Hayslett. Sandy had been in a coma for 16 days following a brain aneurysm, which initially left her with minimal brain activity. However, after a recent brain scan, it has been confirmed that she no longer has any brain activity.
Her family is now facing the challenging task of preparing for her burial. Jessica Dziewit, a close friend of the family, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the funeral costs. So far, $225 has been raised out of the $15,000 goal, thanks to generous donations from Aimee Gelinas, Erin Merriam, an anonymous donor, and Rebecca Westover.
On Facebook, the community has shared heartfelt messages expressing their sorrow and support. Jen Poulin wrote, "This is for my mother. She has been in a coma for 16 days but now she is not responding to pain or light, and she has no brain activity. Please if you can help donate and if not please share. I am trying to give her a beautiful burial she deserves."
Sandy was a devoted wife to Greg and a loving mother to Jayme, Matt, and Jake. She was also a cherished grandmother to Amelia. The family is deeply saddened by her passing and is in need of support during this difficult time.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sandy Hayslett. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
