Born on June 3, 1997, in Surry County, Morgan was the son of Christy Jones Coalson and the late Thomas Neil Coalson. Morgan was known for his boundless energy, infectious laugh, and passion for the great outdoors. He had an undeniable spirit, loving both the lake and the mountains, where he found peace and joy. Whether it was working on the farm, doing landscaping, or handling odd jobs, Morgan lived by his reputation as a “jack of all trades.”
Morgan’s love for life was balanced by his deep care for others. He was known for putting others before himself, always offering a helping hand to family, friends, and even strangers. His friends were more like family to him, and they cherished every moment shared with him, from sitting by a bonfire to enjoying the simple pleasures of country living.
He leaves behind his two young children, Xander William Taylor and Thomas Dean Coalson, as well as his fiancée, Kate Crandall. Morgan’s family, including his siblings Mary Elizabeth Coalson, Zoe Elizabeth Coalson, Gabriel Coalson, and his extended family, mourn the loss of a bright light in their lives. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will be forever remembered by those who knew him best.

The family has not planned services at this time but has requested memorials be made to the Suicide Prevention Center or the Fifth Street Ministry in Statesville.
