Sheau-Yi Christine Mah Mains, a cherished member of the Bentonville 2nd Ward, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 4, 2024. Christine was an active member of the Bentonville community, serving as both an ordinance worker in the Bentonville Arkansas Temple and a seminary teacher. She also worked as a teacher for the Bentonville School District, where she touched the lives of many students and colleagues.
Her passing has deeply affected her family, including her husband Todd and their three children, as well as her extended family. The outpouring of love and support from the community has been immense, with many offering meals and comfort during this challenging time.
In response to those asking how they can further assist, a fundraiser has been organized by Amy Wood to help the Mains family with funeral and travel expenses. Christine had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit in Little Rock, and the family incurred significant costs during her stay. The goal of the fundraiser is $15,000, but as of now, no donations have yet been made.
Christine’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at 1101 McCollum Drive, Bentonville, Arkansas. Her obituary is expected to be posted soon.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Mains and Mah families during this time of loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and we hope for strength and comfort for the entire family.
