Siann "Lily" Roberts, Hempstead, NY— Siann "Lily" Roberts passed away following a severe stroke during her holiday visit to the United States. Lily, a 15-year-old with Down syndrome and Moyamoya disease, had traveled from the UK to spend time with her sister, Kristal Rowe. Sadly, what was meant to be a joyful family reunion turned into a heartbreaking tragedy.
Lily had been receiving emergency care in the US, but despite the medical efforts, her condition worsened. Known for her bright spirit, kindness, and love for old Jamaican music and Spider-Man, Lily’s courage and resilience had been an inspiration to those around her.
Kristal Rowe, along with Nicola Hardy, had started a fundraising campaign to help with Lily’s medical expenses and, in the event of her passing, the repatriation of her body back to the UK. The family’s efforts have raised over $9,500 to date, thanks to generous donations from friends, family, and kind strangers.
