Known for her bright personality and signature red hair, Stacie brought light to everyone around her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.
Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Stacie grew up in a military family, moving frequently due to her father’s service in the U.S. Air Force. The family eventually settled in Jacksonville, where she graduated from Edward White High School in 1981. Stacie was active in school, participating in the yearbook staff and performing in the Miss Ed White Pageant, where she showcased her love for dance.
Stacie was known for her love of fashion and her trendsetting personality. She had a passion for antiquing and refurbishing old furniture, always finding hidden gems like gold picture frames and quirky doll portraits. Her leopard-print outfits were a signature look, and she often said, "Leopard doesn’t go with anything, so it goes with everything!" Confident and full of life, she embraced every moment.
Stacie leaves behind her two children, Ashlee Lauren “Ava” Grant and Travis Chandler Santo, as well as her grandchild, Vander Richmond Tate, and her sister, Terrie Linda Lewis. Her children are now faced with the task of managing her final arrangements, including a move from her home. A fundraiser organized by Travis Santo has been set up to help cover the costs of her cremation and celebration of life.
