Stacy McCarson Putina, Washington D.C. – Stacy McCarson Putina passed away at the age of 33 after a courageous five-year battle with breast cancer. Her passing has left the community heartbroken and devastated. Stacy was a loving mother, advocate, and friend, remembered for her strength, selflessness, and determination.
Stacy’s journey with cancer began in her late 20s when a breast reduction surgery unexpectedly revealed cancerous cells. Despite undergoing multiple treatments and surgeries, her cancer spread aggressively to her liver, spine, and stomach. Throughout her struggle, Stacy remained a beacon of hope, raising awareness about early cancer detection and life insurance education for young people.
Her two daughters were the light of her life, and she worked tirelessly to ensure they would be cared for in her absence. Stacy’s greatest wish was to provide them with love, stability, and support, even in her final days. To help with her memorial costs and support her daughters during this challenging time, a fundraiser has been created by Meredith Fascett on behalf of Stacy’s mother, Angela McCarson.
The community has already shown great generosity, with donations pouring in. As of now, $260 has been raised, and more contributions continue to come in. Stacy’s family is deeply grateful for the support they have received.
We are profoundly saddened by Stacy’s passing and offer our deepest condolences to her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Stacy’s daughters, Angela, and all who loved her.
