Stephon Blanchard, Fargo, ND—The Fargo community is grieving the tragic passing of Stephon Blanchard, an 18-year-old student with a bright future ahead of him. On Tuesday, September 24th, Stephon passed away, leaving his family and friends heartbroken.
Stephon had recently graduated from Sheyenne High School and was a freshman at North Dakota State University, where he pursued a degree in biology. He had dreams of becoming a neurologist and was passionate about his studies. Alongside his academic achievements, Stephon was also a talented musician, an avid guitar player, and a skilled gamer. His dedication to gaming earned him a full-ride scholarship through E-Sports.
The sudden and unexpected loss of Stephon has created a significant financial burden on his family. A fundraiser, organized by Abby Hanson, a close friend of Stephon’s mother, Jenny Ann Carter, has been set up to help cover funeral expenses. Abby has shared that any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in supporting the family during this difficult time.
The funeral service for Stephon will take place on Monday, September 30th, at Living Waters Lutheran Church in South Fargo. The gathering will begin at 5 p.m., with the service following at 6 p.m.
The Fargo community has shown tremendous support through donations. Among the donors are Schroeder Jill, who gave $200, and Amy Netterlund, who contributed $100.
