Steve Chapman, Rolla, MO, Family Honors Legacy with Final Resting Place in California

Steve Chapman, originally from California and recently residing in Rolla, MO, passed away on October 26, 2024, following a prolonged battle with health complications that spanned nearly two decades. After a challenging struggle with Crohn’s Disease, which later escalated to Kidney Failure and required lifelong dialysis, Steve ultimately developed Sepsis, leading to his passing.

Raised in England until age 24, Steve returned to California, where he met his wife and started a family. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through in his founding of Pepperhead Pyrotechnics and Pepperhead USA, companies he took great pride in. In addition to his work, Steve was a talented musician, playing and producing rock music with his bands, Liquor Goat and Coilback.

In recent years, Steve moved to Rolla, Missouri, to be near where he spent part of his childhood. However, his dream of reuniting with his family in California was cut short due to his declining health, leaving him unable to see, walk, or hear well in his final days.

Robert Chapman, Steve’s son, has organized a fundraiser to bring his father’s remains back to California for his final resting place. Contributions from family, friends, and supporters are helping fulfill Steve’s wish to return home, with the Chapman family expressing deep gratitude for the outpouring of support.
